Singapore has a vibrant arts scene, home to a diverse range of established and emerging artists and arts groups that present distinctive works and programmes. Over the years, we have seen a growth in artists and arts groups including freelance practitioners, arts educators, arts managers, technical and production crew. They form the backbone of a strong arts ecosystem, together with sustained public and private support and partnerships, to bring quality arts experiences to local and international audiences.

Our canon of quality works range from the classical and the traditional to the modern and contemporary, across all art forms including literary arts, performing arts and visual arts. Artistic practices are increasingly multi-disciplinary given the evolving nature of the arts, encouraging more collaborations among artists to create innovative works and programmes that engage different groups of Singaporeans. These are deeply reflective of our multilingual and multicultural society where the arts play an important role in bringing us closer to each other amidst diversity.
