Artists and Technologists Collaborate for the First Edition of the Performing Arts X Tech Lab with New Experiences for Audiences

The Performing Arts x Tech Lab (Lab) will launch an Industry Sharing at the Esplanade Annexe Studio till 13 April 2024 for the public, potential partners and adopters to experience new possibilities in performance creation. This marks the completion of the nine-month long incubation, organised by the National Arts Council (NAC) in partnership with Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay (Esplanade).

Response to Singapore Theatre Company Rebranding

The National Arts Council (NAC) welcomes the statement from Singapore Theatre Company (STC) that it would be revisiting its name change, taking into consideration the feedback which it has received from peers, and to preserve the collective unity of the theatre community.

Singapore’s Pinnacle Arts Accolades Awarded to Eight Outstanding Practitioners in Recognition of Their Artistic Excellence and Contributions.

Eight artists were conferred the Cultural Medallion and Young Artist Award at the Istana today. The three Cultural Medallion recipients and five Young Artist Award recipients made significant contributions to Singapore’s vibrant arts and cultural landscape across different art forms. They have achieved excellence in their respective fields of visual arts and film, literary arts and performing arts. The recipients’ artistic practices offer their unique perspectives on the intersections of art, history, tradition and the diversity of cultures. Collectively, they have helped to shape and define our distinct cultural identity over the years, drawing from the richness of communities within Singapore and around the region.
