Water as Resilience: Tales of Punggol Then and Now

Using the concept of water to demonstrate the spirit of resilience and personal courage of Punggol’s residents on overcoming various challenges from the past to now especially during this trying times, the community of Punggol exhibited by expressing their experiences and encounters through drawing and painting on fabricated oar wooden planks. Each drawing or painting on the oar wooden plank shares a story which will be added as part of The Boat installation, as a co-creation with the community, allowing their ‘voices to be heard’. The installation suggests the Punggol’s residents are as one together on boat and overcoming all the obstacles and moving forward.
