There Can Never Be Too Much Flowers: notes on How We Die. Open Studio Conversations

Dana Lam is an artist and writer, as well as an Associate Artist with Checkpoint theatre. Her works are contemplations on yearning, and the intricacies and difficulties of being and becoming. The driving question of 'How To Be' has taken on urgency with the passing of friends and loved ones in 2023. There Can Never Be Too Much Flowers: Notes on How We Die is her follow-up to Still Life (Checkpoint Theatre, 2019) and the visual journal, The Art of Being a Grandmother: An Incomplete Diary of Becoming (Checkpoint Theatre, 2022). In this exploratory stage, she invites you to take part in conversations around observations and thoughts on dying and living.
