Of Kopi and Kampongs

From nostalgic kampong days to more recent urban landscapes, local father and daughter duo Pateo and Melissa Teo present a timeline of Singapore where old and new conflate. Delve into their individual interpretations of Singapore, from the childhood memories of two different generations to current manifestations. Here, gauzy, expressionistic hues and sgraffito depictions of days gone by meet spontaneously-erected street scenes and still lifes in daring pops of colour and linework. Like the fresh aroma of kopi in the morning, carrying a whiff of yesteryear yet eagerly anticipated, father and daughter hope to jolt you awake with the intense boldness of their art.
