Welcome to Zzzink! Shelf. This is an exhibition featuring zines created by members of Zzzink! Zzzink! is a zine-jamming community that gathers every third Sunday at library@orchard. Since August 2021, we have been meeting monthly to create zines, which are self-published and self-distributed magazines containing texts and/or images. Our community comprises individuals from diverse demographics with varying zine-making skills, united by a shared passion for creating zines. Our goal is to foster growth as a zine community through creation, learning, sharing, and interaction. This time, we invite you to witness the achievements we've produced both during and outside of our Zzzink! sessions. We hope you enjoy our zines!
Hour Zine Making Challenge
Date: 21 Jan 2024
Time: 2pm – 5pm
In this session, we will create 8 to 12-page zines within a 3-hour timeframe. If you're eager to connect with like-minded individuals, dedicate focused time to your creative process, and challenge yourself, this event is tailored for you. Completed works will be submitted for display in a selected showcase. We encourage you to bring your own materials, although we will provide some basic supplies such as copier paper, glue, pencils, scissors. For participants intending to work digitally, power points are available.The Wireless@SGX network is available for use but prior registration is required.
