Collective Activations: Waterloo Street

Collective Activations: Waterloo Street presents artworks by emerging artists from NAFA’s Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Fine Art programme, casting a lens towards the historical street’s ever-changing landscape in a critical yet playful reinterpretation of the site. Six collective artworks created across three different cohorts reimagine Waterloo Street, embodied through kaleidoscopic explorations of worship and material desires, mediated by the quiet and nuanced states between hope and waiting. Visitors are invited to witness everyday observations of the street through a series of moving images, sense its pulse through a tactile paper installation, evoke childlike wonder through an interactive board game, and celebrate women empowerment and solidarity through a tapestry created from clothes thrifted from the Singapore Council of Women's Organisations located along Waterloo Street.
