Artesan Gallery + Studio proudly presents States of Consciousness: Early Works of Sun Yu-li, the first part of a series of exhibitions of works by Singaporean artist Sun Yu-li.

Guest-curated by Guo-Liang Tan, the exhibition seeks to bring together works by 10 Singaporean artists to explore ideas of ‘liveliness’ and questions of form, in relation to abstraction as a mode of engaging with different aspects of being. It comprises works by past STPI residency artists, as well as other prominent artists whose works deal with the language of abstraction.

Featuring 70 powerful images from photographers around the world, Planet or Plastic? tells the story behind plastic from its invention just over a century ago to its mass consumption today.
