Mentor Access Project (MAP) 2013 – CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

Emerging writers are invited to submit applications to  the National Arts Council Mentor Access Project (MAP), a 12-month mentorship programme for sustained development of Singapore writers writing in English, Chinese, Malay or Tamil.

Successful applicants will undergo mentorship by an established writer, with various opportunities to participate in dialogue sessions, talks, workshops and public readings held over the course of the programme, at the end of which, selected works produced may be published. MAP participants will enjoy a dynamic community where every Mentor and Mentee are essential players through groupwork or responding constructively to literary writings.

A highlight of MAP 2013 is a stay-in writing residency on Sentosa Island, which will provide an enjoyable and creative space for participants to learn from published writers and industry professionals, network with fellow participants and come together to share and discuss their writing.

MAP 2013 will run from August 2013 to July 2014. To find out more, please visit MAP's official Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/MentorAccessProject.

MAP applications are now open. To apply, download the application form here. Do read the guidelines carefully before applying. Applications are accepted by email only.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday, 15 July 2013.

MAP 2013 is co-ordinated by award-winning author Ms SherMay Loh. For enquiries, please contact SherMay at MentorAccessProject@gmail.com
